OMG, did you know lentils (aka “dal”) come in different colors? I just bought the only package they had at Randall’s for my one and only attempt at spicy dahl. Thank goodness the recipe is so great, it didn’t matter what color or variety of lentils I bought! Thanks to Ratna Sarkar, I’m getting on track for the Indian cooking class January 22, and I will go in search of the perfect dal over the holidays.
