Oven Fried Chicken

Use the Betty Crocker recipe involving Progesso’s Italian- flavored Panko bread crumbs.

Summary: three shallow dishes, place flour, egg and water mixture, and breadcrumbs with cheese mixture.  Coat chicken tenders first with flour, then dip into egg mxture, then coat with breadcrumb mixture.  Place on cookie sheet and bake 15-20 minutes at 425 degrees, turning once.

Ingredients for shopping list:

  • 12-16 oz. chicken tenders (skinless, boneless chicken breast strips)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup Progresso plain or Italian style panko crispy bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (not the dry kind you sprinkle over pizza, get the soft shreds in a plastic tub or from the hanging cheese display in your grocery store)
  • ketchup, mustard, honey, or other dipping sauce as preferred
