Choco-Nana Bread

Banana Cream & Chocolate Chip Bread

Makes 2 loaves; uses both baking powder and baking soda

  • 1 cup butter
  • 6 oz softened cream cheese (only 3/4 of an 8-oz package)
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 4 mashed bananas
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 3 Cups Flour
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Blend butter, cream cheese and sugar until creamy.  Add bananas, egg and sour cream.  Stir flour with chocoloate chips,soda, baking powder and salt.  Add to banana mixture and stir until just mixed; lumpy is okay.  Pour into 2 greased loaf pans.  Bake at 325 degrees for 1 to 1 – 1/2 hours or until tested done (toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean).
