Quick Naan

Homemade naan is best, but for week nights, the frozen kind will do.

Fiesta carries Deep brand Tandoori Naan in their International frozen foods freezer section.  As naan gains popularity, other grocers will probably begin carrying the frozen packages as well.

Amazon also offered Deep brand Tandoori Naan at one point.

  • 1 package (5 pieces) Deep brand Tandoori Naan
  • 2-3 teaspoons Ghee (clarified butter) or virgin olive oil

Heat oven to 300 degrees F.  Line a cookie sheet with foil and have a second piece of foil handy for a “lid.”

Heat a medium-sized non-stick frying pan on medium-high for 1 minute while lightly coating one side of each piece of naan with ghee or olive oil.  Heat the butter or oil side of one piece of naan for 1-2 minutes, then flip and heat for 1 more minute.  Remove the naan, place on a foil lined cookie sheet and cover with a second sheet of foil.  Place cookie sheet in oven to keep warm as you continue cooking the rest of the naan.  Cook second piece of naan with butter/oil side down 1-2 minutes, flip and cook 1 more minute.  Cook all 5 pieces of naan and serve warm.
