This old-fashioned flavor should be a hit with people who like salted caramel or pralines. It is also a very rich filling, almost like eating soft candy. After eating their own mini Butterscotch pies, my favorite neighborhood kids waited up to tell their dad, “You have to eat this before you go to bed,” as he was coming in from a late shift.  And that should be all the recommendation you need!

Butterscotch is a variation found at the end of my Milk Chocolate Pie recipe. Top it with meringue as shown in the photo or freshly whipped cream.
