- 1 Cup butter
- 1-1/2Cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 3 Cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 12 oz Brach’s chocolate stars or Hershey’s Kisses (unwrapped!)
- 10 oz. miniature marshmallows
- 1 Cup chocolate chips
Blend together butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Stir in flour, baking powder, and salt. Press half or 2/3 of this mixture on the bottom of an 11” x 15” pan.
Arrange chocolate stars or kisses on top of the cookie base.
Scatter miniature marshmallows across chocolate candies.
Drop small pieces of remaining dough all over top of marshmallows. Don’t try to spread or cover completely.
Bake at 350° F for 25 to 30 minutes. Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle chocolate chips over warm pan of cookies. Spread as frosting as the chips melt. Cool completely, but not overnight. (About 1 hour; if you wait too long, the cookies stick to the bottom of the pan.)
Cut into squares. This makes a LARGE batch of cookie bars – about 36-48
