It’s back to comfort food in week 14. Ranging from American favorites like pork chops and chicken casserole to a French quiche and Thai and Indian favorites peanut chicken and “my mom’s daal,” these are recipes that make a house or apartment smell like home. These recipes typically take a lot of chopping, so if it is a busy week, repeat one of the earlier menus and save week 14 recipes for a more laid-back time.
- Chicken Almondine – serve with quick steamed green beans below and a package of green salad

- Pork Chops – repeat from week 12, serve with a package of spinach salad, baked sweet potatoes and store-bought cornbread –or make your own cornbread
- Ma Ki Daal (Lentils) – serve with steamed white or brown rice, plain yogurt, and slices of cold fruit like mango, cantaloupe or pineapple
- Thai Peanut Chicken – repeat from week 2, serve with steamed white or brown rice and Fresh Express Asian salad
- Tomato Basil Quiche – serve with French bread and a package of Caesar salad
- Sandtarts (shortbread cookies dipped in powdered sugar)
