Tony’s Tiger Bites
(a little like Rice Krispies squares)
- 10 oz. package large marshmallows
- 1/4 cup butter or oleo margarine (vegetable oil sticks like Parkay, Imperial, etc.)
- additional 1/2 cup of butter for greasing hands, spatula, and pan
- 1/3 cup creamy peanut butter
- 7-1/2 cups (one 10-oz. box) Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes
Melt marshmallows and 1/4 cup butter in a microwavable bowl on high for 3 minutes, stopping half-way through to stir the ingredients together. When the 3 minutes are over, remove from microwave and stir in the peanut butter. Stir until all the peanut butter is melted and thoroughly mixed with the melted marshmallows and butter.
If your bowl is big enough, add in the cereal. If your microwave is small, then liberally butter a very large bowl, pour in the dry cereal and pour the warm liquid over the dry cereal. Liberally butter a spatula and stir the liquids and dry cereal together until all the cereal is coated with the sticky mixture.
Liberally coat the insides of a 9 x 13 pan with butter. Dump the sticky cereal into the buttered pan. Using the last of the butter, liberally butter your fingers and palms and press the sticky cereal in an even layer to fill the pan. If the cereal begins to stick to your hands, re-butter your fingers and palms.
Allow to set for 1 hour and cut into squares with a knife.
