Star Spangled Blueberry Pie
- 2 unbaked pie crusts (Flaky Pie Crust recipe)
- 1 can blueberry pie filling
- 1 teaspoon orange flavor extract
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Line a pie plate with one of the unbaked crusts. Combine pie filling with orange extract and cinnamon. Turn filling into pie pan. Cut remaining crust into on large star and three 1-inch wide stripes. Arrange the pieces like this. The star goes on the left hand side of the circular pie. The three stripes begin near the edges of the star and extend to the far side of the circular pie. Brush all visible pastry with egg wash (1 egg, beaten with 2 Tablespoons water).
Bake 30 minutes at 350° F.
