The last cooking class this semester is “Impress Your Date Dishes” on the Saturday of Easter weekend. Spring classes end on Good Friday, April 22, so we’ll meet in the Wiess Masters Kitchen on April 23 at 1:00 p.m. This class will feature dishes that impress people (romantic interests, future in-laws, friends, your own kinfolk). Mark Plitt will send out the invitations the week of the class. RSVP for one of the 12 spots in the class.
The easiest recipes are listed first, and the most complex is the Strawberry Cake.
- Raspberry Trifle
- Spinach Blueberry Salad (vegetarian)
- Aunt Rita’s Broccoli Salad
- Aunt Helen’s Chicken Almondine
- Crepes a’ la Bananas Foster (yes, you will set it on fire!)
- Shrimp Ceviche
- Green Beans with Caramelized Onions (vegetarian)
- Crepes à la Riené
- Red Yam, Potato and Pea Curry (vegetarian)
- Tomato Basil Quiche (vegetarian)
- Chocolate Pie (home made pie crust and meringue)
- Three Layer Strawberry Cake with Seven Minute Frosting
